Google is a platform to search all information. With fake news, we can choose to Search the same news in various sources to check if it is official or not?
A bit more complicated way
Take a look at the timeline in the article (especially articles about history, time, age, …) and review the time context.
With articles translated from other languages, you should find the original articles to confirm the information.
